The STEM Ambassador programme is THE STEM Engagement programme in the UK, funded by UK Research & Innovation, managed nationally by STEM Learning UK.

As the North West STEM Ambassador Regional Partner we work closely with multiple stakeholders from education, business and the public sector to create a unified provision of STEM support to all young people in our area.
Through the STEM Ambassador programme volunteers are recruited from STEM backgrounds and industry. These volunteers are passionate about helping us raise awareness of the amazing opportunities within Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and are FREE for schools and other youth organisations to utilise.
STEMFirst is proud to be one of the top performing areas in the UK, facilitating 50,000+ volunteering hours per year through our 5600+ STEM Ambassador volunteers. This equals over 1.3million interactions every twelve months.
STEMFirst works across the whole of the North West of England to shine a spotlight on our wonderful volunteers and make it easier than ever for schools and young people to engage with inspirational STEM.
We work with schools (from Primary through to +16) , Youth Clubs, Uniformed Groups, Industrial Partners, Public Bodies, Professional Institutions, Universities, Colleges and community groups. We provide networking opportunities, employer twilights and STEM training for teachers, volunteers and youth workers so get in touch to find out how we can support you.
